Always watching has a couple of drawbacks. This moonless night saw not one of them as the Goblin Spy crouched in deep shadows outside the Order Tavern.

Over hearing a couple of his newest customers talking about the mysterious folk they came across in their travels, Bruneor Aleguzzler bent over his bar and in a hushed tone and whispered. “ So you wants to know about Soga Mijizi? Come close ladies and listen good an proper as I’ll only tell this tale once…”

As the newcomers huddled in closer to the bar Bruneor started his tale. No detail was missed by the trained eyes and ears of the Goblin Spy in the pitch blackness and well outside the torchlight of the tavern, as the Stuntie started wafting on about things he should not know about, and things he should know better to speek of!

“ No one knows where they came from and their Elders keep it a tightly guarded secret. What I can tell ye though is that those folk first showed up in these fair lands generations ago when the world was but young. Word is their leader was the infamous adventurer and pirate, Booster Terrick.”

“ Nobody speeks of Ol’ Booster Terric like dat!” the Goblin Spy muttered under his breath, as he deftly retrieved a single black arrow from under his cape.

Bruneor looked at each of his captivated audience slowly. “ It’s as if he was sent by the gods ” he added, “ for they value their shadowy existence more than anything.”

The Goblin Spy drew out a bound scroll from this bandolier and after scanning the area for patrols, expertly fastened it to a ghastly looking arrow.

“ Booster and his mighty band of adventures and treasure seekers slowly but surely built their network up to be a large yet still secretive group with many contacts in all facets of society. Far too sneaky if you ask me... all this under the table dealings with prominent town officials, socialites and the such like. No wonder the Local Guard tries to keep tabs on them.”

“ Dis’ is WAR n we’s hates dem all! ” hissed the assassin. In a similar and far to practiced manner, in one swift movement he retrieved his recurved bow.

“ I just think the guards are jealous as these folk sure do take care of the problems around town pretty fast. But I digress... rumour has it they have scoured the lands and found numerous mysterious, mystical and magical items. Not only that, people say their halls are lined with chests of shimmering gold.”

“ And we will kill whatever we want ” the Goblin whispered as he notched the arrow and drew it full in a blink of an eye, only then did he stand up fully and let fly with all his malice.

The Stuntie reached for a mighty tankard of ale, as the arrow flashed through the door like lightning. It struck his hand and knocked the tankard of ale to the floor, smashing into the pillar pinning his hand right next to his head. As everyone picked themselves up off the floor and came out of hiding, they saw a scroll hanging from the quivering arrow buried deep in the stone.

The scroll read: For all our outward appearances we hold ourselves to a high level of honour, the values we hold dear are friendship, loyalty, honesty and above all the desire to explore. We hold sway with many of the higher ranking, rich and powerful members of society, be they customers or be they in our debt, if you catch my drift, or simply people who owe us favours. We are normally a peaceful lot keeping to ourselves, but cross us or interfere with our plans and we will hunt you down and feed you to the beasts that which we keep for those that stick their noses in the wrong place. Soga Mijizi holds true to a “ Code Of Conduct ” and abides by the principles of fair play, honesty, and above all camaraderie. In times of hardship, members of Soga Mijizi will band together and support each other where they can. Members treat each other as equals and carry themselves with dignity. If you ever hear the cry “ ROLL THE STUNTIE ” bellowed across the plains, the wilds or deep in a cavern be prepared, as we are coming busting for a fight.

As the group of bewildered adventurers left for the nights rest, the hooded figure stepped out of the shadows and announced... “ Remember Soga Mijizi is always watching.”
